Our Meditation Pack

iRest Yoga meditation is approved by the United States military as a complementary approach for dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

iRest is an evidence-informed approach: its safety and efficacy have been evaluated in more than 30 studies, most of which were experimental trials.

An introduction to iRest sleep meditation course…
A total of 18 hours of tutorial and meditations

There is a CD version available as an in-cell pack or as a download or with a memory card headset for people in the community.

Thrive Inside offers a range of courses for residents in custody and people in recovery from addictions to support the well-being of residents and prison staff. 

While one-off workshops or sessions can be arranged, participants get the best results from regular weekly groups. 

For example, the standard rolling 8-week course is delivered as a two to two and a half hour session each week to fit with the prison free-flow regime. They are supported by the workbook, handbook and 4 Cd’s as in-cell pack which residents can use to practice in their own time and environment.

Shorter lunchtime sessions of 30 minutes can be made available to support the staff.

Plans are in place to offer further material and teacher training programmes in the future.

Support Our Work

Support can also be in the form of individuals who wish to teach or support iRest groups in prisons around the UK or anywhere in the world. We also need volunteers to help with administration.

We are currently exploring registering as a UK charity.
