About Thrive Inside CIC

Thrive Inside helps residents and prison staff to develop unique skills for feeling safe and calm in any situation, to make better decisions, and to live a life with meaning and purpose.

We also work alongside people working a 12 step programme of recovery and other mens groups offering shadow meditation workshops to help fund our work.

Thrive Inside instructors teach a form of meditative self-inquiry, or mindfulness, called iRest (or Integrative Restoration). iRest is a structured, 10-step form of mindfulness training, which has been adapted for vulnerable populations that may have experienced traumatic life events and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Our teaching team specialises in working with vulnerable populations
Thrive Inside’s team members deliver groups and courses in the mindfulness-based practice, iRest meditation. They are Certified iRest Teachers who have completed extensive study with the iRest Institute (www.irest.us) in the United States

Meet Paul Collins

The founder and lead teacher is Paul Collins, a former Royal Marine who has worked in HMPPS sites for over nine years teaching yoga, iRest meditation and delivering support groups, he has also worked in the field of addiction recovery for over 22 years.

Support Our Work

Support can also be in the form of individuals who wish to teach or support iRest groups in prisons around the UK or anywhere in the world. We also need volunteers to help with administration.

We are currently exploring registering as a UK charity.
